Is it a bed? Or a Smart Furniture? It’s an Entertainment Unit! No. Wait for it! It’s something more. It’s your own corner to be lazy as you sleep, work, play, listen to your favourite tunes, scroll through your favourite TV shows or just lay and read the latest text in your collection. It’s drools something straight out of my Sunday afternoon siesta time dreams while lying down on my bean bags. The pod includes your regular bed, pillows, reading lights, sockets for charging, a bookshelf, 2.1 channel speakers, Bluetooth connectivity and a 32-inch television which is mounted at one end of the pod unit. Everything is same in both the variants, except the Basic unit lacks the TV set and the Entertainment unit also comes with a utility bed table.
Also, in case you haven’t noticed already, controls for music, lamps and the TV are on the hand rest on the side of the bed. A perfect companion for most of us working class professionals who stay on rent and frequently move as renting is a perfect substitute to buying furniture — until well, you’re looking to settle down — but then too, this bad boy might inspire you to think otherwise. What’s more? Furlenco also helps you relocate your bed if you’re moving to one of the cities they’ve operations in — sadly that’s only three till now. The company promises delivery of the Pod within seven days of placing the order, and you can even avail a free cleanup of the product from the company during the tenure of your subscription. For those of you who don’t need a TV set, the Basic is a good deal, but it certainly won’t hurt to pay an additional 500 bucks to get that TV set, just because you can, and it’ll make the whole set look more complete. The company also outlines that a 32-inch Panasonic flat screen will be delivered alongwith the Entertainment Pod unit, which might not fit the taste of everyone — or if you already have a TV, the Basic Pod works too, just mount your own TV set. It would have been even better if the company let you buy this piece of amazing furniture as soon as you were comfortable with it, or as soon as you had paid enough in rent to be able to match its retail price. The Pod looks great on paper and here’s hoping that its music system capabilities and comfort are as great as they look. The above article may contain affiliate links which help support Guiding Tech.
