Though many customized options can be configured in Windows 7, once again, Microsoft forgot to provide the way to change logon screen background. Tired of the static picture? I will help you change it by introducing you to 3 tools for the purpose, all with unique features.
1. Windows 7 Logon Editor
Windows 7 Logon editor is an all-in-one utility for tweaking the logon screen. It supports all versions of Windows 7 (except for the Home Basic edition, which was not tested by us), and can adjust more than the picture itself. When you first launch the tool, just choose “Advanced” in “Mode” section, and then you can see the main interface with additional settings, as it’s there in the screenshot displayed above. Now you can click the upper “Set Background” button to specify a picture for logon screen, and then check “Style”, “Enable Shutdown button” or “Policies” for more. It is worth mentioning that the “Policies” function of this tool includes almost all the tweaking you could do with the Windows logon screen. You no longer need to adjust them in Windows Registry Editor or Group Policy; just a few clicks on the box will get it done.
2. Windows 7 Logon Screen Rotator
Another interesting tool I want to introduce is Windows 7 Logon Screen Rotator, which can rotate the logon screen randomly. Install and launch Windows 7 Logon Screen Rotator. Right click the blank area of “Images” or “Monitored Folders” tab to add the sources for rotation. Switch to “Settings” tab for interchanging them at a desired interval. You can click “View” button on the right side to preview the logon screen immediately.
3. Logon Screen
Finally, there is one more option for you. By installing Logon Screen, you can get the function directly from desktop right-click context menu. Fairly simple and convenient. Those were the 3 nice tools I had for you. Do you like them? Or do you have something better to recommend? Please let us know in the comments.
